LOCK HAVEN COUNTRY CLUB - "Wake Up, Clinton County," the local coalition against underage drinking, is the recent recipient of over $2,000, due to the efforts of two local students.

Clinton County District Attorney Ted McKnight, who spearheads the "Wake Up" campaign, said the check will combine with other grants to fund more public information and educate high school students about underage drinking. He credited Robbie Emert and Adam Smith for organizing and running the tournament with the staff at the Clinton Country Club.

The club was a blur of activity with volunteers and staff as registrants from all over the area paid to play in a fun filled afternoon. A full field of golfers all willingly gave up a day of their time to enjoy fantastic weather and outstanding playing conditions at the club.

"While there were many prizes and place-winners, the real winner was the Wake Up organization. It was especially gratifying to see two local youths take the time and energy to carry off such a succesful event.
